India's Health Sector is facing major crisis for Para Medical Staff at each every level and State Government also do not have any sufficient manpower to work and support as paramedical assistant/ staff.
As per Report of WHO there is ONE DOCTOR per 1700 citizen in India and 60 Lacs more paramedical professional is required by 2015 & 90 Lacs by 2020.
According to a Report by Planning Commission (NATIONAL DEVELOPMENT AGENCY), now NITI AAYOG, India faces a shortage of about 10 Lacs Nurses and a large Number of Paramedical Staff. As per reports , an Ideal Nurse- patients ratio is 1:6 but currently ratio is 1:10 in the General Ward and 1: 60 in other patients. In this context Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) advice to the Government of India that a public- private partnership (PPP) model can bridge this Gap.The Severity of the issue can be taken as great opportunity for aspirants of Paramedical Courses.
